Bearing capacity, slope stability and the settlement problems can be seen at the soil which include gravel, sand,
silt and clay.In order to increase the bearing capacity, slope stabiliy of the soil and to decrease the settlement; some soil
improvement techniques are used such as pre-loading, lime mixing, stone column, injection, jet grouting, pile systems
and deep mixing.Deep mixing increase the bearing capacity, decrease the settlement and increase the safety factor of the
slope stability, cement or lime is mixed with the fine or coarse soil and this method is ideal if there is
groundwater.General information about deep mixing is given in this study and this method is compared with the stone
column method.
