Additive manufacturing (AM) or 3d printing, defined as the process of joining materials to produce a
complete objects from 3D model data, usually layer upon layer Additive manufacturing or 3d printing
technology has been applied in many sectors, industrial, biomedical, consumer, automotive, and
aerospace products. The rapid speed of growth in various application as the cost of printing decreased,
when raw material cost lowered, and the increase of printing speed in this paper explored the Potential
of implementing 3D Printing for medical prosthetic and car spare parts in Libya. Prosthetics have a
great demand, thousands of war victims needs prosthetics upper and lower limb in fast time, recently
paper reviewed that 3D printing has significantly show a faster time of making product than traditional
way. In this paper explored the possibility implementing 3D printing in care spare parts in Libya and
found that the availability of raw material, supply risk, and design complexity are suitable for 3D
printing, and market demand indicates a strong motivation to implement 3D Printing car spare parts in
Libya, to provide spare parts to local and to the border country of Libya.
