2019 3D PRINTING SOFT ROBOTS USING LOW-COST CONSUMER 3D PRINTERS

In this study, the aim was to examine the working principles, model and produce soft robot elements with 3D printing flexible materials. Thermoplastic Polyurethane A65 Shore is used for the goal. Three different models are suggested and prototyped. Results elaborated with finite element analysis software. Possibility on the use of complex geometry formation for soft robotics is determined. With the help of a flex and pressure sensors, movement of one of the elements were observed under varying pressure conditions.
