Bekir YALÇIN Berkay ERGENE İsmet ŞEKEROĞLU

Abstract

The technology has evolved and lead to developments especially in foremost industries of countries like defense, automotive and aerospace in last decade. Thus, countries are in competition in order to be one step further than other contestant countries by creating useful new design, topology or material. As a result of this aim, cellular materials became popular with their enhancement properties like indentation resistance, vibration damping, fracture toughness and energy absorption. In this study, cellular compression test specimens will be manufactured with 3D printer from polymer ABS material. Afterwards, compression test of these additively manufactured test specimens will be conducted for the purpose of obtaining stress and strain results and so on determining the mechanical behavior cellular structures.
