AbstractThe study measures whether the implementation level of the Antalya Water and Wastewater Administration (ASAT) governance principles is sufficient. The aim of the work is to demonstrate the effectiveness of the regulations on participation, transparency and accountable principles from the elements of the ‘governance’ approach to municipal law enacted under the local government reform. This scope of work; ASAT’s management, human resources, laboratory SCADA system, wastewater and stormwater management unit and all other units, it was tried to perceive the concept of governance, to apply principles, to reveal the effects of the principles and to examine the problems arising from their implementation. As a result; It is seen that the concept of governance, which is on the agenda of international organizations since the 1990s, has been included in public activity reports, conferences have been organized to improve and the way in which management has changed, has not been fully adopted in the ASAT and it has been adopted in the adopted regions. ASAT seems to have just started to adopt the principles of governance within the organization.
