CONDENSATION PERFORMANCE OF A CONDENSING NATURAL GAS WATER HEATER UNDER AMBIENT CONDITIONS

M. Emin Ugur Oz

Abstract

In this study, percentage of condensation performance of a condensing boiler is researched thermodynamically based on inlet air specs. Relative humidity, dry bulb temperature, excess air factor effects on the boiler performance which are the important parameters for the combustion, were investigated theoretically. The results showed that dew point temperature is 59 – 60 oC, rate of condensation 55 - 60 % , which means the rate of of saturated vapor mol numbers to total water mol numbers in products. In addition, those ranges are not changed so much by the mentioned parameters.
