A Secret Faith in Every Blasphemy -in the context of couplets of Gulshen-i Raz Lahici and Hüsameddin Bidlisi’s comments

Abstract

Gulshen-i Raz, contains the spontaneously answers of Mahmud Shabusteri which are written with aruz prosody as a response to letter of Huseyin Sadat. Mahmud Shebusteri explains many issues in this work and interprets mystic metaphors like wine, candle, idol, zunnar, puthouse, saki, pir-i mugan etc. In this work will be compared interpetations of faith and Islam in Mefatihu’l-icaz fi sherh-i Gulshen-i Raz which is the most popular commentary of Gulshen-i Raz and written by Lahici (ö. 912/1506 ?) in the Persian language and Muntehab-ı sherh-ı Gulshen-ı Raz which is attributed to Husameddin (ö. 909/1504) and written in the Persian language too. With this study, the similar and different ideas of our writers about Islam and faith will be explained and the unspoken sides of the mentioned issues will be discussed.
