AbstractRapidly developing technology in the world endangers many companies we are in today. The companies are now obliged to improve themselves in order to compete in both domestic and international markets. In this sense, concepts such as quality, cost and customer satisfaction are becoming more important. Lean production is a production method that is not outdated at this point. In the 1950s, the lean production which was laid the foundation with the Toyota Production Company, is still up to date. Lean production, which adopts zero error and zero inventory principle, is applied in both the manufacturing sector and the service sector. Today, it is still very important in terms of the continuity of lean production which is developed and integrated with new technologies. Lean production is a gateway to the world from the Japanese people. In this thesis,” Lean Manufacturing Application in Iron-Steel Production Line Hatt is tried to be explained. Lean production and techniques are examined in detail. Then, in light of this information, the results obtained in iron and steel industry were interpreted.
