The Hacnames of The Russian Muslims

Abstract

Muslims living in Russia and the Ottoman Empire have been striving to keep their fraternal feelings warm between each other for centuries. But the most peak period of the development of their relations is at the beginning of XIX – XXth centuries. Mecca and Medina we know as Holy Lands, in another mean Hijaz Area have sacred spaces to visit which are accepted sainted by all world Muslims. Those sacred spaces had been included in Ottoman State Borders for long times. The Muslims who live under ruling of Russian Empire considered a religious duty to visit Istanbul where capital city of Islam khalifa; in one respsct they believed that a hajj duty won’t be accepted without visiting Istanbul. Therefore there were main passing points in the way of Mecca and Medina between capital city of Ottoman Empire. and other Ottoman cities for prospective pilgrims.
