Trends in Cloud-Based Learning Management Systems
AbstractEvery new development in the field of software engineering opens new possibilities for education practices and engenders new opportunities for learning environments. In the world of rapidly developing information technology, cloud computing has given new directions to the structures of traditional learning management systems. Today online learning, as a form of distance learning or e-learning, has developed the capacity of organizations to reach more students than in a traditional classroom setting via scalable online services mainly thanks to cloud-based software solutions. Moreover, organizations have become more equipped with the help of sharing resources and gained enrichment by avoiding large expenditure on hardware and software for the required learning management systems. This work-in-progress study tries to analyze and summarize some trending features directly related with cloud-based learning management systems.
