INTEGRATION OF MACHINE TOOL AND SUITABLE AM TECHNOLOGY FOR DIFFERENT APPLICATIONS
AbstractDone in One concept, completing multiple process in one machine, had realied massive improvement of the productivity in metal working industry. HYBRID multi-tasking machines can achieve further improvement in Done in One concept by building up different metals to have necessary part characteristic or complicated shape only by machining. However, it is important to select suitable AM technology to be able to achieve most efficient improvement. This article explains MAZAK’s different type of AM technology with actual applications and importance of selecting suitable AM technology as well as a task for the future.
