The Investigation of Microstructure of Dublex Stainless Steel Welded by FCAW Method
AbstractIn this study, AISI 2205 duplex stainless steel material welded using E2209T1-1 / 4 wire with flux cored arc welding (FCAW) welding method. The austenite and ferrite phase contents of the duplex stainless steel structure was characterized. The image of the weld metal and inclusions was taken with transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and its characterization was obtained with energy-dispersive spectrometry (EDS). Characterization processes were supported with elemental mapping and selected field diffractions. In particular, the effect of ferrite and austenite former elements in grain structure is investigated.
