Principles of Industry 4.0 such as cyber security, autonomous robots and cloud computing will inevitably be one of goals of the near future for every country and every business. Being prepared for Industry 4.0 is also important for Turkey to achieve competitiveness. Among the targets included in the plans, there is always a heading covering science, technology and research. This study is a review how Turkey’s strategy has evolved through years and to what extent the country’s goals in discussed areas overlap with implementations have been done so far.
