2D Modeling and Investigation of Graphene-Cement Composites

Heydar Dehghanpour Kemalettin Yılmaz

Abstract

In this study, a general research was carried out on the structure, properties and areas of use of the graffen, which is the material of the future, and for micro-scale investigate in cement; the element with cement properties reinforced with graphene sheaths at different rates, was simulated in two dimensions using ABAQUS program, and tensile strength and modulus of elasticity were investigated. Nowadays, since the production of the graphene is limited to the existing technology, this important material can only be used in ultra-small elements and devices such as in the field of electronics, physics, chemistry, health, energy and sports. With the development of the technology, it will be possible to produce the graphene, which is about 200 times higher than the steel with strength, in large volumes and to be used in the construction sector especially as a additive material in the concrete.
