AbstractAs a fascinating concept, the term employer branding attracted many researchers from a variety of disciplines. In particular, employer branding found broad research interest in the management literature and human resource field. Nevertheless, there is sparse research in the management literature on the desirable consequences of employer branding on the existing employee behavior. Employer branding should be conceptualized, defined and investigated. Hence, the purpose of this study is to define and establish the characteristics of perceived employer branding and examine the impact of perceived employer branding on job embeddedness. The study fills an important gap in management literature by reviewing the extant literature on perceived employer branding and reflects an understanding of employer branding from the perspective of existing employees in Turkey.
