AbstractIn this study carbon monoxide methanation was studied over the NiO-Fe2O3/SiO2 catalysts which were prepared at different molar ratio by using the surfactant assisted coprecipitation method. The effects of the molar ratio on the characteristic and catalytic properties of the catalysts were determined. The N2 physisorption method used to determine the BET surface areas of the catalysts and X-Ray Diffraction was used to find the crystal phases present in the catalysts structures. CO methanation studies were done by using the 1% CO, 50 % H2 and remain He feed composition and between the 125oC325oC reaction temperatures. Lowest 50 % CO conversion and 100% CO conversion temperatures were obtained over the 4010/50 NiO-Fe2O3/SiO2 catalyst.
