On His Basmala Tractate of Dawud al-Hanafî al-Karsi al-Birgivi
AbstractThere is a situation in which the work of Davut al-Khanafi al-Karsî al-Birgivî called as a Basmala tractate, which leads to suspicion about who the author is makes are search on it. It is not clear whether the author is Karsî or Birgivî. If the author is Karsî, is it one of his own copies of the basmala or another independent tractate? As a result of the source search and content analysis it was found that Mehmet al - Birgivî does not have any basmala tractate, and that Kârsî has two tractates with the same name. Although the names of these two tractates are similar, they are understood to be different and their reasons are different. When it comes to Birgivî's nickname, which is mentioned together with Karsî, it is possible to explain by spend an important part of his life as a lecturer in Birgi which town is his spiritual teacher Birgivî. In this paper, a literature review and content analysis were carried out to determine that the basmala tractate belongs to Karsi.
